8/29/21

NRC Youth Program is thrilled to welcome Perry L. Williams as manager! Mr. Williams is a former professional football player and 2 time Super Bowl Champion of the NY Giants, and former NCAA Track Champion and 2 time world record holder!  He will lead the children through the FUN-damentals of running!   Teaching techniques for running, including the skills and concepts for warming up, track/ trail etiquette, stretching, sportsmanship and teamwork.  Participants will be organized into 3 or more groups, based upon ability, with each group lead by two or more coaches.  This program is for children 9-13 years old who love to run! It's fun for everyone!   Many who enter our program go on to run on their middle school and high school teams. Others take this knowledge and run more efficiently on their selected team sports. One way or the other, running is the basis of EVERY sport.

The Fall Season meets weekly for 90 minutes on Sundays at the Northport Middle School*.  It is a 6 week long program.

Stay tuned for registration Info!

As of this morning, Harborfields school district is not accepting permits for use of their fields this summer. Northport school district already notified us that they are redoing their parking lots and will not allow group use of the fields.

If there are any changes, we'll let you know. Looks like no Summer Season right now...

Due to the Northport School District banning gym and field usage until further notice, we are going to push the opening of registration for the Spring Season to April 5th.  Stay tuned for further updates on the start of the season and for registration status.  We appreciate your understanding.
