PARTY ANIMAL RUN SERIES

This is an age-old Northport Running Club tradition around the holidays. Any NRC member that has the stamina to attend every one of these 19 consecutive running and/or social events ending on New Years Day wins the coveted Party Animal Award. This challenge has been claimed every year except one, and has some years been claimed by more than one club member. The Cheers-like environment of these running/social events, the brain-child of NRC's Bob Skirkanich, is a guarantee that everybody will know your name. As with most all NRC events, all are welcome. You must, however, be a NRC member to be eligible for the award (just one more reason to join!). As anyone will tell you, the premier event of the series is the annual Christmas Lights Run, which is now a mid-December Friday night must-do.
